The International Day against Homophobia was marked yesterday, on May 17, regarding that, a group of certain citizens planned to march from the territory of Tbilisi Concert Hall towards the Liberty Square. However, the procession was canceled and noisy gathering ended up in conflict. This event was under the attention of media and social networks and became main news of the day.
ACT was interesting to find out the scale of this problem – the conflict was caused by contradiction between two small groups (participants of a march and Union of Orthodox Christian Parents), though masses of people feel aggressive towards the sexual minorities.
